Criteria: UPG 2019 brings together people who are passionate about the city of Lagos in Nigeria and want to support all efforts to build a Greater Lagos. The event takes place at the initiative of His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos and it features both global and local leaders from all sectors including, business, government, academia, civil society and media. Since spaces are limited the criteria for selection prioritises: - Leaders with a demonstrated passion for and commitment to Lagos - National and international leaders with a demonstrated passion for making the world a better place - Action-oriented leaders with a track record of positive impact - Relevance to the agenda: the ability to contribute to the priority issues on the agenda - UPG Champions from around the world are automatically invited via a separate process.
