Become a Champion and Criteria

A Champion is a member of the United People Global community who makes a commitment to be a champion of UPG’s mission to empower people. Specifically, to be a people champion. Champions make everything possible through their commitment and their funding. As a Champion you can continue to be active as much (or as little) as you would like. Above all, Champions understand that UPG’s mission is about serving people.

Our promise: Opportunities with more impact, more funding support, shine, and greater influence within the UPG community. Learn more below.

We are proud to embrace Members and Champions from all walks of life who make a commitment to UPG’s mission. Members and Champions are reviewed and accepted in waves, with priority given to Champions. Champions are required to submit a convincing application demonstrating their motivation and a sincere support for UPG’s mission. Organisations that manufacture tobacco products or weapons cannot be Champions as we do not accept funds from these organisations.

  • Shine: As a champion of people, a supporter of people through the work of United People Global. Beyond your own glow, your commitment also encourages others to make stronger commitments. Champions are specifically highlighted on UPG channels, with their consent
  • Network and Community:
    • As a Champion, receive invitations to a wider range of eligible events and opportunities.
  • Learn and Grow
    • Receive opportunities for champions to participate in activities that supporting learning and growth.
  • Influence the global network
    • Influence the global network through opportunities to volunteer, to co-design, to shape and to lead specific UPG initiatives

  • Network and Community:
    • Up to 3 individuals from your organisation can be part of a global network that includes both members and champions
  • Learn and Grow

  • Influence the global network
