Joining UPG is free for individuals and for organisations who believe in our mission. As a Member:
- Take action, do something that you care about and support others to do the same
- Participate in increasing the power of people to build a better future, simply by being here
- Feel at home: be part of community of like-minded people
- If your organisation believes in making the world a better place then you belong: whether you are a non-profit or a business, as long as you care, you are welcome. And it’s free.

Difference Between Members and Champions? = Commitment: Members love what we are doing and can join for free, because UPG is a home for all people who believe in our mission. Champions love what we are doing and they want to contribute to its success, even in small ways. That contribution may be both financial and non-financial. Champions contribute amounts that start at CHF 50 per year (about USD 50 per year). And Champions also enjoy benefits too.

Become a Member
A Champion is a member of the United People Global community who makes a commitment to be a champion of UPG’s mission to empower people. Specifically, to be a people champion. Champions make everything possible through their commitment and their contributions. As a Champion you can continue to be active as much (or as little) as you would like. Above all, Champions understand that UPG’s mission is about serving people.

Criteria: We welcome Members and Champions from all walks of life who make a commitment to UPG’s mission. Members must be at least 13 years old and share their motivation for joining UPG. Champions must be at least 18 years old and are required to submit a convincing application demonstrating their motivation and a sincere support for UPG’s mission. Champions also tell us more about who they are and what they have done. All Champion applications are for the current period that ends in December of the current year. Organisations that manufacture tobacco products or weapons cannot be Champions as we do not accept funds from these organisations.
Members and Champions are reviewed and accepted in waves, with priority given to Champions.

Act and Influence
- Share your own activities with a community of like-minded people and have the opportunity to mobilise others to support your activity
- Opportunity to select one (1) of your initiatives to be a featured program
- Up to 5 individuals from your organisation may register as Champions and can participate in activities where Champions have priority.
- As a Champion, opportunity for your activity to be featured on official UPG channels and/or facilitated by UPG
Shine As a champion of people, a supporter of people through the work of United People Global. Beyond your own glow, your commitment also encourages others to make stronger commitments. Thank you.
- Champions are specifcally highlighted on UPG channels, with their consent
- As a Champion Supporter, be acknowledged on UPG Annual Report and website
Network and Community:
- Up to 5 individuals from your organisation are acknowledged as Champions in a global network that includes both members and champions
- Be part of a global community of members similarly passionate
- Create and form “groups” in a private space that others can join
- Events: As a Champion Supporter, receive invitations to a wide range of eligible events. Including several with funding support for champions. Champion Supporters also receive exclusive opportunities.
Learn and Grow
- Learn more about the world, locally and globally
- Receive opportunities for champions to participate in activities that supporting learning and growth
- Increased access to opportunities with funding for champions
Influence the global network
- Influence the global network through opportunities to volunteer, to co-design, to shape and to lead specific UPG initiatives. In their capacity as Champions, up to 5 individuals from your organisation may volunteer in various roles across the UPG Community.
