Diana Malumbe - UPG Champion
Diana Malumbe is a passionate ambassador for positive leadership on sustainability, holding a BSc in Fisheries and Aquaculture, and an MSc in Project Planning and Management. Although she works for a bank, Diana’s true passion lies in addressing sustainability challenges.
Diana is particularly focused on SDGs 1 (No Poverty) and 2 (Zero Hunger). She is dedicated to empowering women with entrepreneurship training, helping them establish their own businesses, and fostering self-reliance and financial freedom. Her ultimate goal is to create an organization that empowers women. Diana is motivated by the vision of a world with less poverty and hunger, fewer instances of prostitution among women, and more independent and self-reliant women.
In addition to her work on poverty and hunger, Diana addresses SDGs 13 (Climate Action) and 14 (Life Below Water). She partners with local NGOs to raise awareness about climate change and its impact, including organizing tree planting initiatives. Diana also works to educate communities about the importance of conserving aquatic ecosystems and the negative effects of water pollution on climate regulation.
Open to partnerships, Diana is eager to collaborate with anyone working on projects aligned with her goals of reducing poverty, hunger, and environmental degradation.
