Ngengang Venceslas Mohmoh - UPG Champion
Ngengang Venceslas Mohmoh is a dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist with seven years of clinical and community experience. He is currently a second-year master’s student in Diagnostic Hematology and Transfusion Science at the University of Buea, Cameroon.
Ngengang is the pioneer founder and president of the Mendia Youths and Development Association. Under his leadership, the association established the Mendia Health Center in 2022, which now serves over 5,000 inhabitants in a conflict-hit zone where all health facilities were destroyed. His personal experience with the loss of his father due to lack of access to healthcare has deeply influenced his commitment to improving health services in underserved areas.
A health and education activist, UPG Champion, and UPG Sustainability Leader, Ngengang possesses strong skills in leadership, community healthcare, community development, education, and care for the underprivileged. His dedication led him to create the Alpha Omega Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission to strengthen and provide access to healthcare and education services for women, children, persons living with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. In just two years, Alpha Omega Foundation has improved the lives of 1,500 women, 1,000 children, 500 persons living with disabilities, and over 1,000 other vulnerable individuals through community health campaigns, door-to-door education, and the establishment of the Alpha Omega Foundation Diagnostic and Medical Center.
Ngengang is also an executive member of the Cameroon Association for Medical Laboratory Science (CAMELS) Center Region, a member of the African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), and an UNESCO-trained Education in Emergency expert. He serves as the Head of the Department of Health Sciences at ISPA Polytechnic and holds various memberships and positions in numerous professional, social, and political organizations.
