Please complete the RSVP below to register to attend a Geneva Brainstorming.
United People Global is organising two brainstorming sessions exploring factors that affect the ability of ordinary citizens in any country to "determine their own future". We are looking for interested and sharp minds, students, academics, practitioners, in the social sciences, humanities and in economics to brainstorm possible factors that must be considered. We will also explore interesting questions thrown up by this task such as:
1. Is obesity a choice, and to what extent does it limit your choices? 2. Do arranged marriages limit the ability of the individuals involved to determine their future? 3. How can we consider the right to vote as a factor while also considering the likelihood that the elected will do what you voted for? 4. How do we take into account inequality within countries? 5. Does it count as having less choice if you don’t know about options that exist? 6. Addiction limits your choices, but it was a choice that got you addicted. How do we factor this in?
The next brainstorming event is limited to 14 people and will take place on the 10th September. The second will take place on the 17th and is limited to 35 people. Both start at 13h and will be held ~15 minutes from Cornavin, Geneva, by tram.
RSVPs that arrive on time and that are confirmed will receive an invitation with the details of the event.
