My name is Seid Abdirahman Mohamed, I am from Jigjiga, Ethiopia. I finished my secondary school at Ubaya and worked in marketing, sales, and leadership. I am interested in learning more about sustainability and leadership.

I worked at Muraadso Borama from 2021 to 2023, where I learned many skills. Now, I am getting ready to go to Japan for the 17th APNG Camp 2025.

And I faced many difficulties in life, like escaping an attack in Somalia, but I am working hard to help my family, especially my younger brother, and to create a better future. I want to learn and share ideas about sustainability with other leaders

My Strengths: 1. Leadership Skills I have experience leading teams and guiding people to work together to reach goals. 2. Communication I can explain ideas clearly and listen to others, which helps in working with different people. 3. Problem-Solving i am good at finding solutions when there are challenges, especially in difficult situations. 4. Passion for Sustainability I care deeply about the environment and helping others understand the importance of sustainability. 5. Experience in Marketing and Sales I know how to share ideas and motivate people to take action. 6. Adaptability I can adjust to new situations and challenges quickly, which helps in a global leadership role. 7. TeamworkI believe in working with others, listening to different opinions, and finding common ground for better results

A Time I Used Collaboration
In my previous job, I worked with a team to improve customer service at Muraadso Borama. At first, there were many complaints from customers, and the team was not working well together. I decided to bring everyone together to discuss the problems and find solutions.

I encouraged open communication and made sure everyone shared their ideas. We worked together to improve the customer experience, and as a result, customer satisfaction improved. This showed me the power of collaboration—when people work together, they can achieve great things.

I have not had the opportunity to volunteer yet, but I am interested in doing so in the future. I believe volunteering can be a great way to learn new skills, help others, and make a positive impact on the community

Vocational: I have completed vocational / skills based training

If I lead a project in my community, and I will start a program to plant trees and clean the environment. In my area, there is a lot of trash and less green space. I want to help people see the importance of trees and keeping the place clean.

And I will work with schools, families, and local groups to plant more trees, teach how to take care of them, and encourage people to recycle. This project will help the environment and make our community a better place to live

One challenge I expect is getting enough people to join the project. Many people might not see the importance of planting trees or cleaning the area. To overcome this, I will organize meetings and explain how the project will help the environment and the community. I will also show examples of other successful projects.

Another challenge is finding the resources like trees, tools, and workers. I can overcome this by seeking support from local businesses, schools, or even government organizations. I can also apply for small grants or ask for donations to fund the project.

Finally, keeping people motivated to continue the work after the project starts could be hard. To fix this, I will create a regular schedule for maintenance and reward those who keep helping. This will make sure the project stays alive and continues to grow
