Hi! My name is Maite and I come from Spain. I am passionate about the environment that is why I am currently doing a volunteering program related to raising awareness about environmental issues. I have university studies on international relations and European Union affairs and now I aiming at specialising further in the environmental field. It is also my passion to travel around the world.

Decided, solution-based approach, self-assured, assertive, optimist, social and public speaking skills, motivated, formal and responsible, critical thinking.

I could mention my time in the debate club, where I participated for two years in different activities and championships where I put my oral skills and critical thinking into intensive work. Of course, I also bettered my public presence, confidence and team-work skill, I also reinforced my capacity to work under pressure or unforeseen circumstances.

I am currently in a volunteering experience and I am highly learning about the environment and gaining experience in managing events and workshops. We also go to natural sites and engage directly in concrete projects to protect and restore nature. I have learned that there is always something to do with the environment and that it is related to everything in our lives.

Graduate: I have completed a graduate degree (e.g. I have a Masters degree or PhD)

I would love to target an unsustainable structure or practice in our cities and fight to propose changes. I think nowadays information is generally accesible, what threatens our planet the most is all the companies and institutions that don’t commit to transition and don’t comply with green policy and standards. We have to tackle these breaches.

A new environment of people outside my comfort zone.

I have repeatedly moved and changed places so even if it is intimidating, I have a high adaptation capacity and it does not worry me.
