Greetings!
My Name is Emmanuel Abaka, I’m a Nigerian, I’m 25 years old, a graduate of MATHEMATICS, a facilitator and also an SDG’s advocate.
I’ve been part of the SDG’s Advocacy since my university days, where I engaged in activities like Awareness, Cleaning of The Surroundings (World Earth Day), and also possess a strong passion in Education (Tutoring). As a Graduate, serving my country, I have served as the PRO(Public Relations Officer) of the SDG’s Community Development Service (CDS), where I ensured the community is well educated on the need to keep the society’s ecosystem stable, using the SDG’s goals as a guidline.

I’m passionate about Mentoring and Tutoring, in order to raise not just a sustainable Community, but also, a sustainable generation, because when we have a sustainable generation, then the community will forever be sustained.

My Relevant Strengths are: Communication Skills in Teaching and Leadership Coaching, Mentor, Listener, action-oriented, disciplined,and Analytical.

The Strength I chose is “Communication Skills”. And here is the story: A year ago, while serving my country, a teenager was brought to me, and part of the problems of this teenager was poor performance in his education, together with being rude/stubborn, and not willing to welcome any Tutor.
So, using my communication skills, I had to listen keenly to him and let him express himself fully before me, and I spoke with him and taught him with the proper choice of words, arousing his interest, and suddenly, he began to develop more interest and also became humble and respectful. He became so good in the subjects I taught him that he was among the top three best student in the classroom.
Through my communication skills, I wasn’t just able to teach alone, but listened keenly to his complaints and questions & speculations, and I was patient enough to provide a comprehensive answer to him on each question, letting him know he’s got the right ask questions and learn, which in turn, aroused the interest in him of wanting to be more committed, even in just hearing me.

Yes. I’ve had experiences acting as a volunteer.
In my University days, I volunteered as part of the SDG’s during the world earth day awareness in cleaning the surroundings of the School.
I also volunteered as part of the Awareness Team.

As a Graduate, I also volunteered as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the SDG’s Community Development Service (CDS), in ensuring that the community is well Educated and Aware of the need to keep the community in good shape, in line with the SDG’s Goals.

Undergraduate: I have completed an undergraduate degree

If I were to lead a Sustainability-related project in my community, it would be a rigorous AWARENESS OF THE DANGERS & SOLUTIONS OF DRUG ABUSE.
The reason for this is due to the increasing rate of youths who are victims to drug abuse, and are caged in this. Quite a number of them are ignorant, not having the necessary awareness of their personalities and capacities, hence, the improper channelling of their energy.

The Challenges I expect to have doing this project will be in the area of human resources and natural resources.

One way I would overcome this challenges is to reach out to agencies, personalities and bodies whose vision also tallies with this, explaining my visions and the project on ground and the necessary supports will come through.
