Blen Girma Beyene, a UPG Sustainability Leader based in Ethiopia. I am working on SDG13 SDG12 and SDG5.  I’m deeply passionate about combating climate change by addressing the critical issues of overreliance on inorganic fertilizers and improper waste management. By giving awerness and conducting workshops.My project, “Community Based Composting Project for Climate Action ” aims to educate the community and empower future generations by promoting sustainable waste management practices. Composting is a crucial tool in waste management and climate action by diverting organic waste from landfills, reducing methane emissions, improving soil health through nutrient-rich compost. Currently nominated two Highschools in Addis Ababa Which is Upg Sustainability Certified.

Doyinmola Paul-Oyewusi, #UPGSustainability Leader from Nigeria. She is a visionary entrepreneur and a champion of sustainable African fashion. As the founder of Dhoney Adire and Crafts, she is dedicated to advancing sustainability, celebrating African culture, and driving climate action. Doyinmola promotes eco-friendly fashion through her exquisite handmade African products-crafted for global travellers, Africa enthusiasts, and cultural explorers alike. Her impactful work has earned her accolades, including recognition from the Future Forward Female Movement by DDK, the SME100Africa 25under25 award, and nominations at the ELOY Awards. Doyinmola continues to inspire and lead the transformation toward a more sustainable and culturally enriched fashion industry.

Kutloano Ramotshela #UPGSustainability Leader from South Africa and She is particularly passionate about SDG 13: Climate Action. Her project addresses pollution issues in marginalized communities and promotes community engagement through awareness and education campaigns

Papin Franco, #UPGSustainability Leader from Madagascar, is dedicated to advancing SDG 14: Life Below Water by promoting the sustainable use of fisheries resources while ensuring the preservation of marine and coastal ecosystems. He works to raise awareness among fishing communities about the severe impacts of traditional destructive fishing methods. Additionally, he supports community-based conservation initiatives, empowering grassroots communities to actively participate in the protection and sustainable management of marine and coastal environments.

Almeida Cumbane #UPGSustainability Leader from Mozambique. Driven social media content management with a proven track record at oportunidades CPLP, enhancing brand awareness community engagements through innovative social media strategies and encouraging citizens from cplp countries to join and access opportunities of self and professional development in the field of education ,he also with his team support increased visibility and customer interaction, demonstrate time management and collaboration skills by consistently exceed targets for engagement, acquisition and retention of new platform users. He has a strong commitment for social matters and passion for Sustainability. He is also a professional for Bank loans Consultancy for public servers.
Benjamin Bockarie #UPGSustainability Leader from Sierra Leone. He is actively engaged in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in areas of climate action, life below water, and gender equality. With a strong belief in the transformative power of education and community participation, he aspire to create lasting impacts in coastal regions and inspire global collaboration for environmental sustainability. He has over four years of meaningful experience in the blue economy, climate resilience, food security and livelihood projects, and community development.
