Laura Andrea

Laura Andrea Saldarriaga Hernandez #UPGSustainability Leader from Colombia. She is an environmental engineer passionate about protecting and caring for our planet. Her work focuses on developing projects that promote environmental education and agroecology, driven by a strong commitment to fostering sustainable and resilient communities. Inspired by the transformative potential of science, technology, and innovation, my mission is to strengthen local capacities by integrating technology, knowledge, and its social appropriation to create meaningful change within my community.

Mirna Imperatore

Mirna Imperatore #UPGSustainability Leader Brazil. She is a geographer, specialist in youth and adult education, environmental technician and tourism conductor. She works as textbook editor and educator. Her project is related to environmental education and sustainable tourism. I deliver lectures in schools and in the community and work especially with recycling and reuse of materials, mainly those made of plastic.
The main SDGs she works at are 4 – Quality education; 11 – Sustainable cities and 13 – Climate action.

Ana Lindiner Lima De Araujo

Ana Lindiner Lima De #UPGSustainability Leader from Brazil. Ana is a data engineer and entrepreneur specializing in sustainability and low-carbon solutions. She develops and integrates data-driven systems to monitor and reduce carbon emissions in regenerative agriculture and circular economy projects within the construction sector.

Yuri Omar Apolinario Silveira

Yuri Omar Apolinario Silveira #UPGSustainability Leader from Brazil, passionately aligned with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). As the creator of the ‘Sustained by Sustainability’ project, he established a transformative sustainable cycle within a public high school, promoting eco-friendly practices, environmental awareness, and a culture of sustainability among students and staff.

Milton Duque Cano

Milton Duque Cano #UPGSustainability Leader from Colombia. He is passionate about SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. He leads AgroData, an AgTech initiative that empowers small-scale farmers with AI-driven tools to boost productivity and sustainability. “Together, we can create a future where innovation drives food security and sustainable agriculture”

Enrique Andrés del Castillo

Enrique Andrés del Castillo #UPGSustainability Leaders from Peru. He is a sustainability advocate and environmental activist, dedicated to SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 15 (Life on Land). As a member of the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN), he has worked to amplify youth voices in global environmental policies, including at COP15. With experience at Fairtrade International, he has supported over 500,000 small producers in Latin America by improving environmental, commercial, and labor standards. Currently, he is in Sweden pursuing a Master’s in Global Management while supporting 200 Colombian coffee businesses in adopting sustainable and deforestation-free practices through his internship with Inclusive Business Partners, backed by the European Union.
