yes, I was a part of green youth movement in my university back in 2023. As a volunteer for the Green Youth Movement at Allama Iqbal Open University, I had the privilege to contribute to an inspiring initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability. The event focused on water conservation and eco-friendly practices, aligning with global Sustainable Development Goals. It was a rewarding experience to collaborate with like-minded individuals, plant trees, and engage in meaningful discussions on how to tackle environmental challenges. This movement not only empowered us to take actionable steps for a greener future but also highlighted the crucial role of youth in driving sustainable change.

Graduate: I have completed a graduate degree (e.g. I have a Masters degree or PhD)

If I were to lead a sustainability-related project, I would initiate a community-wide recycling and waste reduction program. This project would aim to reduce plastic waste, increase recycling rates, and promote sustainable practices among residents and businesses. I believe this project is essential because improper waste management poses significant environmental and health risks, and by working together, we can create a more sustainable and eco-friendly community.

I expect to face challenges such as lack of community awareness and engagement, inadequate infrastructure for recycling, and resistance to change from local businesses and residents. To overcome these challenges, I would employ strategies such as conducting public outreach and education campaigns, collaborating with local government and stakeholders to improve infrastructure, and offering incentives for businesses and residents to adopt sustainable practices. Additionally, I would establish a strong project team and engage volunteers to help drive the initiative forward.
