I am Raneem Al Ruhaili from Oman. I have graduated with magna cum laude honors in HSE from the Modern College of Business and Science in 2023.

Currently, I am a HSE Officer managing a construction project in Sohar Freezone. I am looking forward and excited to joining the UPG Sustainability Leadership Class of 2025 in the US, marking an exciting new chapter in my professional journey.

This strong motivation kept me focused and consistent, leading to my outstanding academic performance, culminating in my magna cum laude achievement. It’s a testament to my dedication and passion for my field, setting a foundation for my future career success.

Moreover, my passion for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) studies inspired me to go above and beyond, not just to pass my courses but to truly understand the material and apply it effectively.

In 2022, I volunteered as a first aider at Sultan Qaboos Complex with the OQ team, showcasing my commitment to safety and community well-being. This experience allowed me to apply my HSE knowledge in real-life situations, further strengthening my skills in health and safety management.

I would initiate a **Waste Reduction and Recycling Program** at the construction sites I manage. Construction generates a significant amount of waste, much of which ends up in landfills, contributing to environmental degradation.

The project would focus on minimizing waste by encouraging the reuse of materials, implementing proper waste segregation, and promoting recycling practices. It would also include an awareness campaign to educate workers on the environmental impact of construction waste and how they can contribute to sustainability.
