I am Zelia Pires, from small town in East Timor which call Lana. I grew up there were most of life spent in the town. During young life, I have always serving myself and involve in the community work, through the acolytes which serving in the church, choir during the Eastern and Christmas any other event. Also, being a class leader in the schools. In my senior year, I left the town and moved to Capital which city of East Timor, Dili. I lived with my grandmother who always support our study journey. Apart from my study, I had a chance to attend the extracurricular activities such as vice of the commission liturgy in school, basketball club, attend the English and Portuguese class. When completed my senior high school, I had a got undergraduate scholarship under the Asian University for Women, in Bangladesh, an international university which composted of various students around the world, it was my fisrt time being away from my family. During my University life, I never stop myself to explore and gain the experience, were I worked as part-time student at the university under the Office of Student Activities as Student Supervisor, and as well as English teacher outside the university. This will make myself different from other applicant as I am being honest for what I did, and I love to include myself in the society work.

Good Communicator

I am a good communicator as I am able to speak more than 2 languages. Sometimes, it helps me to understand the people with their different culture. Being able to speak other language is one of the best thing I ever have in my life. This can called my strength because when I go the countries which speak these language it will be easy for me to understand the people, communicate with them or even easily understand their traditions and culture.

Yes, I did many volunteer activities. One of the remarkable experience was working in the Cancer of Research in Uk. I did every 3 days of volunteer which I served in the centre or the shop. I met people whit different background. I improve my English accent into Irish, changing ideas with the older people, most especially my desire to serve the community. Every week, we sale the used clothes which donated the community in the shop and later the money will help those who fight against the cancer in the Uk. It was a nice experience to work with everyone.

Undergraduate: I have completed an undergraduate degree

I would like to educated young people to love our environment. Creating a workshop which can educated them about the environment.

Maybe gathering the people will be hard because of new country which I just moved in here, but through my volunteer activities which I have been involved with the locals, I believe that the CEO of the place will be easy for mr to approach as I have also contribute to their activities a lot.
