Yes! That is really who you are!

I am an Environmental Risk Expert with over 10 years of multidisciplinary experience spanning the nuclear, sustainability, and emergency preparedness sectors. My career has taken me through diverse roles, including CSR officer, mechanical design engineer, and advisor for government bodies such as the UAE Ministry of Defense. I bring a unique perspective shaped by hands-on experience in radiation safety management, CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) defense, and environmental sustainability.

My current role as the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Global Ambassadors of Sustainability (GAoS) sees me driving operational excellence and aligning strategic initiatives with global sustainability goals. However, it’s my work as an expert lecturer with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that has allowed me to share critical knowledge in nuclear emergency response with professionals worldwide, further enhancing my expertise.

As a consultant at the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), I was crucial in developing comprehensive environmental emergency plans for Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. My contributions have enhanced the country’s ability to mitigate and respond to environmental threats using best practices from ISO 31000 and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction.

My academic journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Engineering (ABET Accredited) from Jordan University of Science and Technology and an MBA in International Business from the University of the West of Scotland. I’ve also obtained a nuclear reactor operator license and a Dale Carnegie trainer certification, demonstrating my commitment to continuous learning and leadership.

With a passion for advancing environmental sustainability, I am dedicated to driving initiatives that promote corporate social responsibility, risk management, and sustainable development in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I strive to make a meaningful impact by building resilient systems that safeguard people and the planet.

Collaborative Leadership: As Co-Founder of the Global Ambassadors of Sustainability, I have fostered partnerships across sectors to drive impactful initiatives aligned with the SDGs. Strong Communication Skills: I excel in public speaking, training, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring ideas are effectively shared and implemented. Passion for Sustainability: My deep commitment to creating sustainable solutions is evident in my work across diverse fields like environmental risk management and CSR. Adaptability: My experience across global organizations has honed my ability to work in multicultural, dynamic environments. Strategic Planning Expertise: I have led the development of impactful programs, such as emergency response plans, sustainability initiatives, and capacity-building workshops.

One of my key strengths is collaborative leadership. A notable example was during my role as Co-Founder of the Global Ambassadors of Sustainability. I coordinated a multi-stakeholder initiative that brought together NGOs, private sector partners, and academic institutions to address regional environmental challenges. We developed impactful sustainability programs by fostering open communication and aligning diverse priorities, including workshops and campaigns aligned with the SDGs. This collaboration amplified the reach of our initiatives and inspired collective action, showcasing the power of teamwork in achieving sustainable outcomes.

Yes, I have volunteered extensively in various capacities. For instance, I participated in AIESEC, where I was a project manager on the National Ambassadors Program, where we focused on some social aspects in Jordan. I also volunteered with TEDx, coordinating events that amplified community voices and innovative ideas. These experiences taught me the value of teamwork, effective communication, and adaptability.
I learned that volunteering helps communities and enhances personal growth by exposing me to diverse perspectives and challenges, reinforcing my commitment to making a meaningful impact in the world.

Graduate: I have completed a graduate degree (e.g. I have a Masters degree or PhD)

I propose initiating a Green Youth Innovation Hub within my community or organization. This project would empower young people to design and implement innovative sustainability solutions, focusing on renewable energy, waste reduction, and sustainable urban design.
The hub would host workshops, provide mentorship, and partner with local businesses to turn ideas into actionable projects. By engaging young minds, the initiative promotes collaboration, builds environmental awareness, and inspires grassroots change. It would align with global sustainability goals while fostering a culture of innovation and environmental stewardship.

Funding Limitations: Resources for equipment, workshops, and marketing may be insufficient.
Solution: Seek partnerships with local businesses, apply for grants, and leverage crowdfunding platforms.
Engagement and Participation: Encouraging youth to join and stay committed could be difficult.
Solution: Promote through schools, social media, and incentives like awards and internship opportunities.
Resistance to Change: Some stakeholders may be hesitant about sustainability initiatives.
Solution: Highlight sustainable practices’ economic and social benefits through data and success stories.
